Howdy ya’ll,

This week, I have a lot fun getting to know everyone at LAITS and start to learn about all the software and past project relating to website development. I hope throughout my journey at LAITS, I can grow into my best version of myself and become better at my soft skills and hard skills.

STA Orientation PPT

September 8, 2022 By Marissa Devivar

Project: STA Orientation PPT
I chose 5 rules from the STA Handbook and illustrated them using my own design. I sourced icons from The Noun Project and blocked them in with a color palate I generated using Coolors.co I also added some solid fill and outlined hexagons behind them to add more visual interest, otherwise, the slides seemed bare (even with the text).

GOV310L Animation Proposal

Currently, I am working on the new GOV310L Animation. We wanted to go in a new direction than before, this on is more like a news intro to match the courses theme. Here is the proposal for the project:

Next steps will be beginning to make the individual scenes in photoshop. Once those are created I can easily import them into After Effects and animate the scenes.

UTFC Boot Graphic

This was a small task outside the main UTFC graphics that were being made. I was instructed to recreate this boot graphic by replacing the words and adding minor changes:

GOV310L & GOV312L

August 23, 2022 By De'sha Bass-McClellan

GOV310L Animated Intro:

For this animated intro, I was given a selection of various images and I was tasked with create a simple intro with images appearing and disappearing. Originally, I had multiple images on the screen at once and they were in their rectangle form. However, to match the original assets in the course, I rounded the images and added a blue overlay.

GOV312L Animated Intro:

Before taking on this animation edits, I thought I would need to recreate the entire design before I could animate. However, I found a BEAUTIFUL thing that you can import PSD files into After Effects too!!!! This has most definitely changed my life. With that, I was able to retain the image quality and their positions to all them to move across the screen.
