Made two new objects for Russian!

Clothes pile: (Each cloth was saved as its own symbol and stacked on top of each other.)

Apples: (I made 5 separate apple symbols and duplicated them/made slight edits to make them “peeled”)

Russian Illustration

Illustration Update

Illustrations are always super fun for me! Its super relaxing working with flat colors.

I used warm brown colors because a lot of the Russian classrooms incorporate wood cabinets and tables with lots of green plants! All of the textures are overlays of real photos of wood. There are multiple students present in the scene, so I tried to keep the focus on Polina by having classmates crowding around her and looking in her direction (so popular.).

Week of 10/8

Week of 10/8

This week I finished another V Lab! As a completionist, it stresses me out that I can’t incorporate a lot of things into the new site. But I think I’m finally done with V Labs for now, even though the project as a whole is still ongoing.

I also edited some COLA IDs:

That last ID is one of my faves; the color of the man’s shirt compared to the background and the color of the flowers just looks so good!

Finally, I got to do some animation work again (yesssssss) and my task this time was to make the angles for the young child of the Glasses Boy and Awake Girl that was the crawling baby from last time (boy they sure grow up fast!)

She’s basically a combination of her dad and mom, so she has components from both parents in her design. Also I’m assuming she likes cats.

Week of 10/1

Week of 10/1

No new exciting graphics this week, since I mostly just worked on Anthro V Labs and Cascade re-documentation edits. Here’s the info again for the V Labs project:

project: Updating Anthropology Virtual Labs
completion status: Started September 2018
staff guidance: Estella Sun
STA team members: Bridget, Valerie, Emily, Chloe, Duo
description/plans: Transfer all the text and images from the old Flash website to a new site that can be accessed by future students.
To be completed: ASAP

I finally finished my portion (Lab #6). A lot of one section ended up being videos so I didn’t have to do much for them.

There was this one page that had about 200 definition terms that I had to re-format. I think I straight up entered the void while I was working on them; it was so monotonous.

Next, I also worked on Cascade re-documentation. My task was to make edits to the instructions draft using Andre’s edits.

project: Cascade Documentation
completion status: Started Oct 1 (for me at least)
staff guidance: Estella Sun
STA team members: Bridget, Chloe
description/plans: Making edits for Cascade re-documentation draft referencing Andre’s edits PDF
To be completed: Oct 12

Thanks for Estella organizing both of these projects!
