More COM 301!

We made some more progress thanks to Thuy and Abriella this week! The final keyframes are looking gooood!

 

 

As for next steps, I want to add some subtle/abstract background to the frames so that they won’t be floating on white space. We also will need to draw final versions of the icons in Frame 11 once the sketches are approved.

 

Title Stingers

The course is also made up of three segments, each of which needs a title card and ~5 second animation. Here are my drafts so far, in the same style and color palette.

 

 

 

Note… the professor’s set for the “Q&A” portion of the class is modeled after Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns interview series… hence the ferns. 🙂

 

Once all this is finalized we can start animation!!

LACS Progress

I’m currently working on wrapping up LACS in between RSS, which is the highest priority right now. All of the infographics I assigned are marked as done and the files are uploaded to Box, so I’m working on going through all of them to fix a few inconsistencies, making sure all the icons are same size, and updating the color palette.

Here’s what the final infographics are looking like:

 

I’m really happy with how they’re looking, and I’m excited to see the final versions up on the site. Once I’m done going through these, I’ll share them with the client to see if she’s also happy, or if there are any last changes she wants me to make.

COM 301E Updates

COM 301E Updates

Maddy, Abriella, and I got a lot of progress done for COM 301E illustrations. Maddy said she’ll be telling Sydney that we can start animating soon, probably in the upcoming weeks. I combined Abriella’s character into the scenes that I was assigned, and here’s what it ended up looking like.

We’re all really happy with how it turned out so far, so I’m super excited to see this animated as well!

KB: Basic Trainings Review

KB: Basic Trainings Review

Suloni and I had a discussion about how we should be formatting and updating the KB basic trainings for new hires that are most beneficial for getting them trained and started on projects more efficiently. I went into the KB table of contents and added a notice to the trainings that still need updates. Then I took inventory on where we are at with trainings to make, edit, upload, and what is finished.

RSS Annotations Updates

I’ve been receiving feedback on RSS Annotations so I’ve been making these changes.

  • Ensure that the text aren’t too close to the borders
  • Adding a gray gradient on images with white background so that the text is readable
  • Make sure that the text break flows (i.e. RODE Mic NTG not RODE Mic\nNTG)
  • Not considering the black borders existing on some images into account for padding
