STA Training: Google Analytics

Description: For this project, I got to learn Google Analytics. Basically, it is a tool that can help with tracking the user that visits your website. It can give you a beautiful visual aid that displays different information about the user including the duration of their session and what types of activities they partake when they visit it.

Here are some lessons I learnt about Google Analytics.

1) It is easy to set up google analytics property with data stream in which it connects to a website. Just put a tag in the head of the HTML file. Then, the data collection method will be updated in GA with pretty graphs and everything like that.
2) There is Google Tag Manager that could potentially help with tracking with Google Analytics. The Google Tag Manager is a main hub for any tracking code that you want to add to your website including Google Ads Sense and Facebook Pixel.
3) The Google Analytics provide a very extensive tool for companies to know a lot about the users. They can even track different activities that the user perform from the website including whether they view search results, item list and promotions.

 

As an exercise of this project, I have worked on moving Google Analytics Account from LAITS to LAITS CMS in order to make it easy for a user group to access it.

Project Google Analytics

Description: For this project, I needed to check if a website has google analytics or not. So I need to go to each website to install Site Kit and check if there is an existing Google Analytics Account associated with the website or not. If not, then the next step of this project is to actually create and link it to the website.

Description: For this project, I updated Powerpoint Presentation and made changes to the script. I ran through the presentation with Mike and made a lot of changes to the script.

Project: TGDP Documentation

Description:  For this project, I updated the documentation for the TGDP. I added different sections into the testimonials to help the client create an expandable Question Testimonial Block.

Moreover, I also add videos and screenshots to help the clients easily with visual aid. Furthermore, I also fixed the entire documentation of changing from testimony to testimonials.

Project: HTML Live Website

Description: For this project, I made edits to the design and apply the changes to the HTML Live Website. I eliminated the paper texture and thought about different content I can add to the site including the introduction to LAITS, STA Program and Agenda of the presentation and STA Presenters.

Project: HTML Live Website

Description: For this project, I need to edit the design of the HTML Live website. I made a rough design in Figma of how the website looks like. After that, I implement the changes into the real site. There is one thing to note which is that in real site, the template that the conference website offers makes it really hard for me to implement the change because the site is divided into above the player, the player and below the player. I need to experiment with different elements in order to navigate myself through the HTML changes.

Project: Conference Website NS Cloner

Description: For this project, I need to figure out why  the cloning of the conference website doesn’t work properly. After much experimentation, I do not know why. Stacy fixed and figured out the bug. I need to ask him for this.

Description: For this project, I need to adjust the website to be more responsive.

  1. Change the font-size and configurations of different elements to look visually reasonable when on different device sizes.
  2. Adding patterns to the agenda section.
  3. Make the agenda text to be center with align-items center and display flex in CSS.
  4. Cloning the website so that I can implement the original website as a template
