Save the Date STA Presentation Flyer

Save the Date STA Presentation Flyer

Recently, I was tasked to create the flyer for this year’s STA presentation. The theme for this presentation is art gallery.

IDEATION + SKETCHING

I began this project by drafting several different compositions for the flyer, starring my favorites.

The art director for this project, Shanda, agreed with my favorites, so I continued to tweak those specific layouts, using the LAITS logo for the color scheme.

This specific idea stood out to both of us, so I continued to refine it.

ITERATIONS

I found assets for the frames, and then began on the final. Here are some iterations with different font styles.

With this version, I played around with paint splatter backgrounds.

Shanda’s feedback led us closer in this direction, the right option being where we are currently at.

HIS314K Course Graphics

HIS314K Course Graphics

Last semester, I was tasked to create course graphics for HIS314K: The History of Mexican Americans in the US, taught by Professor Monica Muñoz Martinez.

I worked with two base images, experimenting with various takes on gradients and overlays.

Upon receiving feedback, I moved towards a more subtle overlay.

The image with people was selected by Professor Martinez, so I committed to using that for the assets, working from there. I worked with adjusting the logo and text distribution on the canvas homepage banner, as requested as well.

The client preferred the first choice with smaller text, so I was able to finalize this asset.

This semester, the client requested an edit to be made to the Canvas Homepage Banner and the Canvas Dashboard Banner- to change her name to Professor Monica Muñoz Martinez, so I applied this edit.

Final Assets

Canvas Homepage Banner

Canvas Dashboard

Canvas Buttons

PPT Title Slide

PPT Segment Slide

iPad Overlay

I really enjoyed this project. It taught me a lot about working back and forth with a client in a timely manner.

Minimalism | Spring 2026 Roster Poster: UPDATES!

Minimalism | Spring 2026 Roster Poster: UPDATES!

This project has returned this semester! Now in the stages of final edits, adding headshots, and overall finalizing.

For a bit, we played around with slight edits of the layout, including new STA teams. This was an attempt to include the Systems STA.

But we pivoted and tried returning to the original lineup of teams with the actual current number on each.

Due to the fact that this final number would mess with the centering of the layout, we changed the team lineup altogether from computer support to classroom support. This would keep the layout symmetrical and centered. Now I was able to begin adding the headshots and names.

CURRENT ITERATION!

Winter Break

January 12, 2026 By Sasha Kenney

Winter Break Projects!!

As I come back as an STA for this spring, I am beginning the semester by reflecting on how I spent my time over break. After a long, busy semester, I definitely felt it was necessary to catch up on my rest. However, I also spent a lot of time working on various projects as well.

Texas Lassos Digital Marketing Content

At the end of last semester, I was appointed as the digital marketing chair for Texas Lassos. So over break, I spent time creating various materials for this semester’s recruitment season.

Here is the recruitment calendar! I used Procreate for this and it was a bit tedious- this post took a while, but I am very proud of the final result.

Here is the recruitment teaser video! This project was a lot of fun because after designing the layout, book cover, book pages, and bolo tie in Adobe Illustrator, I transferred the files into Adobe After Effects in order to create the opening book effect. I have basically zero experience on After Effects, so this was honestly very intimidating to me, but I found a few tutorials that really helped, and after many hours, I had my final result. I am also very proud of this project- the final version is exactly what I envisioned.

Here I have two flyers for events I created using Canva Pro & Adobe Photoshop. This was a fun experience because it allowed me to play more around with Canva- I tend to avoid using it because of its limiting quality of being able to mostly just use existing assets, but for these flyers with a very quick turnaround, it was incredibly convenient.

Last project I worked on prior to the semester starting was a graphic for an upcoming profit share. I used Adobe Photoshop for this, creating two size variations, and am very happy with how they turned out.

Summer Marketing 2026: Christmas Post

December 17, 2025 By Sasha Kenney

Summer Marketing 2026: Christmas Post

The past month, I have been tasked with creating a winter break-centered post for the summer marketing social media campaign.

I began with a few sketches of various possible iterations. Feedback guided me in the direction of the fourth sketch, Bevo in an ornament.

Initial iterations/color palette options.

Refining of details and color palette adjustments.

Upon receiving feedback, I pivoted and adjusted the design to show Bevo in a snowglobe instead. Shown above is some of that progress.

Nicholas suggested adding a wooden texture to the table the snowglobe is placed on, as shown, as well as hooves to Bevo.

Tweaking the shadows + adding a gradient background.

Bevos’s shadow adjusted, potential LAITS snowflake logo added.

Logo adjustments.

Final post with the summer marketing logo instead.
