This week I worked largely on the InDesign and HTML/CSS trainings. I also made a simple grid background for a Zoom-based history class.

Also, here is my HTML/CSS training site thus far! Let me know what you think, it’s been a labor of love so far. I’m mostly working just on adding text content to the various tabs now, and might incorporate other features / functionalities later.

This week, I started the HTML/CSS training (very excited about this but not a ton to add yet), continued the InDesign Part 2 training, and wrapped up the Canvasser training. I also completed a Zoom background for a US history class which you can see here!

Today, I spent half of my shift doing captioning for E316 again. However, for the remainder of my shift and the rest of this week, I worked mostly on the AI logo and Canvasser training.

I finalized the design for my logo (see below) and put it in a design menu. For some reason, I chose a Moscow Mule mug as one of my featured logo products, although maybe it’s just a wish for winter to come already.

Additionally, I finished my conditional drag-and-drop Canvasser game, which tests the learner’s knowledge some basic survival-level German words and phrases that they’ve (hopefully) cleaned in my Clio Canvas module. Try it out here! I also was able to add a button on my Clio module which will take the user to the game.

So today I finished up captioning for Barrish and Pinto’s E316 weekly update, and besides that I finished the PSD cutout training. Also, I continued work on both the AI logo and Canvasser trainings.

The Canvasser training is going pretty well so far. I’m enjoying the interactive aspect of it and the user-friendliness. I had a small hiccup where drag objects wouldn’t trigger the conditional true popup even when in the correct position, but Ruben was kind enough to tell me it was because I had the origin set to upper left instead of center. This meant even when in the correct position, the conditional true popup would only be activated when the upper left corner of the draggable object was in the correct position. Bridget has also been really helpful in troubleshooting.

This week I’ve definitely done a variety of things! I wrapped up the studio graphic training, so here’s the design menu for it.

Next, I started and made significant progress on the AI logo training. I chose a very retro pixelated heart theme with my initials.

Lastly, I finished making my Canvasser game assets and starting exporting and subsequently uploading them to Canvasser.

This week has been a lot of things! I worked on the spreadsheet for the COLA Staff Photo ID Initiative and made significant progress on the studio graphics and Canvasser trainings. Here’s a sample of my work.
