CLIO Module Formatting Training

I’ve been tasked with guiding Abriella and other STAs to work on the Clio Module Formatting Training. I’ve done quite a bit for the Enhancing French Skills Clio course but I realized there are many other stuff I haven’t worked on. Abriella got started recently and found out that many of the instructions are not yet on the KB, so I’ve taken some time to figure out how to do each of the point required and wrote up some instructions for it. Here’s my progress so far (just some snippets of the long instructions I wrote).

 

Texas Beyond History Mockups

I’ve been working on the mockups for the Texas Beyond History (TBH) website. Stacy had me mockup the gallery page and a content page. The page is pretty static and text-heavy, so it’s not too design-heavy. Here are the drafts I’ve made that will probably be sent out to the client soon.

Bio Graphic and Basecamp Avatar

Today I finished my basecamp assignment of making a bio and basecamp avatar. This is the final product!

I really enjoyed this opportunity to draw in photoshop and highlight what I’m passionate about. For my pictures, I included my favorite kombucha brewery, my dog (rosie <3), and DnD dice to reflect my love for tabletop games. I also included an image of rilakkuma (my favorite cartoon bear) and icons of my favorite adobe softwares. I could not imagine a better assignment to warm up my skills and introduce myself to other STAs!

Orientation Reflection

Today was the first day of orientation and I feel a bit overwhelmed, but in a good way. There’s so much to learn and do as an STA, and the handbook has been super helpful in outlining the day to day requirements that I should be making routine.

I really enjoyed the warm-up project of creating a PowerPoint to recap some of the rules written in the STA handbook. Although I wish I could’ve accomplished more in the given time, I’m still satisfied with how colorful and minimalistic it turned out! Here’s the quick PowerPoint I ended up making.

Writing this reflection was a bit of a challenge since I’m not used to documenting my work like this, but I look forward to posting more as I continue. I can see this blog being really helpful as I record my progress and project works, so I can’t wait to get more familiar with WordPress to improve my future posts!

Hello! Today I began my orientation as an STA. I learned how to use Harvest, Basecamp, and Workday. I also read through the STA Handbook with the current coordinators and STAs.

We created these recap powerpoints after going through the Handbook. Here’s mine! Looking forward to tomorrow 🙂

 

Today was the beginning of STA Orientation. I met everyone on the STA team and together we worked on learning how to use: Box, Harvest, and Basecamp. Not only that but individually each new STA created a 5 slide PowerPoint going over important rules we talked about when we looked at the STA handbook. I also made a STA Bio, as well as a Basecamp avatar. It was fun!
