BREAK IS OVER :-(

November 28, 2018 By Valerie Tran

Back at school šŸ™ BUT glad to be at work. ANYWAY

I notified and fixed up some stuff for the map for the RGT project.

Ooh. Wow. A map!!!

I grayscaled the map, made significant buildings on the tour darker, added the stops for the tour, and added the dashed line of the actual path.

I also did some stuff for Tate. I did the artwork for the topmost shelf of the kitchen cafe!

What are in those sacks? Potatoes? Rice? I don’t know, but I love a good mystery. We stan.

I also worked a bit on the logo for the peer review tool. Here’s what I have so far:

They remind me of restroom signs.

That’s all for 2day!

BREAK HAS STARTED but I’m still working

November 28, 2018 By Valerie Tran

I worked on the racial geography tour map and finished! I didn’t send out a notification of the completionĀ because I wanted to run it by Suloni and also everyone was out of the office so they wouldn’t have seen it until after break.

WOW A MAP!

A lot of my time was just spent struggling with illustrator lol

more t-shirt stufffffff

WE SETTLED ON A DESIGN YAY.

Front

Back

This is what she wanted on the back so yeah!

I also was briefed and put on a project to makeĀ a graphic/logo for a peer review tool for Canvas. This is what the references look like:

Look at dem ties.

This is essentially the look they were going for, except they want the formal-looking business humanoids to represent informal-looking humanoids.

I was also assigned another project with the Racial Geography Tour and was tasked to make a dotted path for the map of the tour. I also need to grayscale the map and add numerically labeled stops.

Both of these will be a challenge because they need to be done in Illustrator, but I look forward to getting it done!

T-shirt stufff

November 28, 2018 By Valerie Tran

Today I was tasked with designing a T-Shirt for Dr. Brachas’ UGS class. Ā She wanted to reference the “I love you so much” mural for her Jane Austen course so I did my best to mimic the font and the paint texture.

Here’s the front.

Dr. Barchas is also on a budget, so I’m trying to keep the colors to a minimum. She really liked the design of the front. I also made a text box below it saying “Austen in Austin”, but she wasn’t fond of it. We’ll be meeting with each other tomorrow to discuss the next few steps.

Cascade stuff for UT Support Page

November 28, 2018 By Valerie Tran

I was tasked to edit the contact information and instructions for the UT Support Page. Ā I was originally tasked to make an informational graphic, but that was nixed, so I just wrote down the instructions/guidelines/contact information with Suloni’sĀ approval.

Wow. Much support.

I won’t be coming in tomorrow on Friday because I finished my hours for the week!

Finished the Workday Photo IDs and Computer Support Pages

November 14, 2018 By Valerie Tran

I finished the Workday photo IDs!!!! Hooray!!!

Look at them! They’re doneeeee!!!

After finishing all these IDs, I was briefed by Suloni and Tate on an upcoming project for the UT Computer Support page. What I will be doing is basically making instructions/guides/directions to creating a ticket for the contact portion of the UT ServiceNow website. Here’s my progress so far!

Ooh a drop shadow! She’s FANCY.

This is all for this shift! :^)
