Finishing up HTML Site
I’m almost done with the HTML/CSS/Java training! I had a lot of fun putting it together and getting more familiar with JavaScript.
I got started on the HTML training this week and it’s been fun! I already know HTML and CSS pretty well, but I’m looking forward to getting more familiar with JavaScript through this training. This week, I created the content for two of my tabs and started making accordions for my second tab!
This week, I uploaded some photo IDs, got a lot of the infographic training done with Angie, and started on the new HTML/CSS training! I haven’t met with Thuy yet for the coding, but I was able to get started in CodePen temporarily. I’m doing my training site on the trilogy of Greek tragedies, The Oresteia. Here’s the aesthetic I’m going for:
This week, I’ve worked a lot on Canvasser, did a couple of photo ids, worked on Sexing History, and the infographic training. So far on Canvasser, I’ve made and uploaded my Photoshop assets, created objects, and assigned interactions. I’m currently working on adding conditional popups for all of my Spanish pronoun matches. It was a bit difficult to visualize a cartoon for “you” and “I” so I quite literally used the English word for the visual for “you.” Here are a few preliminary screenshots!
Poonum and I got a cool InDesign project this week from Maddy! There’s a former Women’s and Gender Studies postdoc who wants us to lay out his high school lesson plans on the history of gender, sexuality, and sexism. It looks super cool so far! I did a draft of lesson 5, which chronicles sexism in the workplace in the 1950s and ’60s. Reminds me of the document-based questions from high school history.
