GOV 355M Data Science for Social Sciences

More summer online course graphics! The professor choose style A for this course. This is the first request with 2 photos, one was less formal so we decided to grayscale both and mask the background. These are the original photos:

Course title slide, Canvas buttons, and iPad overlay

Course title slide, Canvas buttons, and iPad overlay are all monochromatic and mostly restricted to the templates for style A. Please refer to previous post :))

SDS 302 Data Analysis for Health Sciences

We had to redesign the templates for this course to fit both the UT branding and the Statistic and Data Sciences Department branding, which ended up being a completely different color scheme and layout than the original template. It was an interesting process.

PDF Design Menu for Summer Online Courses– Style A

I was tasked with the role of project lead for creating the client-facing PDF Design Menus for Summer Online Courses style A, which is the more formal monochromatic version of the two versions that we are going to offer our client. Project managers will use our PDF Design Menus to show clients what we can offer them to customize the graphics for their course.

Canvas Homepage Graphics

This is the general style guide for the canvas homepage banner

For style A, we are using the round canvas button graphics

Canvas Dashboard

To make sure the course title and professor’s name are legible, we decided to keep the dashboard graphic clean.

Stingers (More icons!)

We are offering 4 general stinger options for both style A and style B: Quiz, TA Discussion, Chat, and Survey. Style B will be in a different color scheme

Back to making icons yay 😀

Title Slide and Pre-roll

Professors can request a title slide for their ppt presentation. Pre-rolls will be sent to the video team for animation.

iPad Overlay

This is a mock up of how the course will look on ipads.

LACS Infographic – Entrepreneurship

The design STAs are creating infographics that will replace the text on the career guides pages: https://liberalarts.utexas.edu/lacs/graduate-students/guide-intro.php

My assigned topic is Entrepreneurship. With Bridget’s template, we are able to speed up the process and maintain a consistent art style. I spent the past week creating icons for the “Pathway” sections, which shows the career options of each topic, it was a really interesting learning process with all the advice and resources Suloni, Abriella, and Bridget provided. These are some icons I made:

This is how the infographic looks right now:

More Banners

To make documentation more interesting, Suloni and Abriella came up with the idea of adding more graphic elements such as banners and relevant icons to knowledge base tutorials. I made a banner for the how to package logo design tutorial.

Info-graphic and Icons

For the LACS info-graphics, Bridget made a beautiful template that makes everything so much more efficient. I created an icon for “higher education,” Abriella, Bridget, Suloni, and Valerie gave me some very helpful inputs and I am excited to learn more about icon design through this project.

This is the info-graphic I was assigned, I am currently working on the pathways icons.

CWGS Banner Update

The Center of Women’s and Gender Studies requested a banner change. Brazilian artists Grupo OPNI made some stunning graffiti in the CWGS reception area, which the new manner features. I can’t wait to stop by and check them out in person.

Here is a link to more photographs of the mural: https://utexas.app.box.com/s/nn439kltmihqe72odiagnluubdlxasb6

Personal works

Before spring break we were playing with some servo motors in my fabrication class and I didn’t get a chance to return them, now school is closed so I get to keep them! I’ll be using them for a little toy I designed, it’ll be a tv with multiple scenes that you can switch to by turning the servo. These are the draft and mock up:

SCJS Logo

Dr. Lichtenstein and Galit decided on the final design, this is how it looks like:

We are now waiting on the headquarter’s approval.
