This is the InDesign training part 2. The instructions supplied the assets and parameters to layout this flyer. Such as a drop cap, hierarchy of text, using a font pairing system, a limited color palette etc. After a few edits this is how it turned out:
Above are my color palette and the compositional layout of the poster I was planning to make. Here is how it came out with Megan’s suggested edit of bringing down the body text size. I went from 16pt to 14pt which I think helped in creating more hierarchy.
This training was a little different because it focuses on making sure you are able to get fuzz, blurred, and complex edges when you are trying to isolate the object from its background. I picked photos with different levels of difficulty and tried different methods of isolating the object.
Thuy had updated the Ai Shape Manipulation training so I decided to try it again continuing on to the different levels of shape manipulating. Here is how they turned out. I had never used the shape builder tool before since I don’t use Ai that much. Hopefully, I will continue getting better with more practice.
I had finished my cascade training before Thuy started working here and added more HTML how-tos into the instructions. So I went back and did one on how to make an accordion in Cascade that way I’ll know how to do it if a Client requests one for their page. Anyway just trying to make sure my skills are up to date with everyone else!
For my after effects course graphic I picked an entomology class since I like working with insect art. Below is the storyboard for how all the elements would move in the GIF. Then below that is the final GIF of how it turned out. This training was something completely new to me so it took a bit of time to figure out the basics to create this but once I got that down the rest went by pretty quickly.
