Pixel Art Ai

November 17, 2020 By Abriella Corker

PIXEL ART Ai

I tried out the pixel art training Bridget made in the KB. I haven’t done this before in Ai and it was pretty simple and a good learning experience. I’m glad that we are getting more Ai trainings in the Kb. I feel like that is my weakest point with graphic design software and trainings such as these are very helpful to me. As usual, I did a beetle!

Interactive for CLIO

I designed a mini game for my CLIO course and put it together with canvasser.

I am still trying to add this animation to the start button:

Canvasser Progress

Canvasser Progress

I have continued to work on my game! At this point, I think everything is in the correct position and all the layers are in the right order. I have gotten through most of the conditionals and interactions, and I should be able to be done with the rest by the next time I work! If all goes smoothly, hopefully I can wrap the game up my next shift and make edits as needed. I realized that the original idea I had for “reusing” BB and dragging to multiple different places would not work well, so I got around that by making additional versions of BB for each drag and drop question. You can see them all in this photo, but only one will be visible at a time. After the player drags one version to the correct spot, then the new version of BB will appear.

UI/UX with Figma Training

November 13, 2020 By Danielle Daynos

This week I worked on the UI/UX with Figma Training. I chose Spicewood Floral which involved making a website for their business. Here’s what it looked like at first.

Here’s what it looks like after applying all the colors. Definitely didn’t need to use them all. Just another step in the learning process!

And here’s what it looks like once I removed the green and adjusted the hues of the colors. There are two versions, one using dark pink and another using a darker version of the background color. I’ve really liked this training so far!

InDesign Training

InDesign Training

This is the layout design I went with given the text and images that were available in the training. I wanted something more straight forward that felt like a book spread more than those narrow columns. Megan suggested I adjust the tracking and leading to fill up the text to the bottom of the third page which was a great suggestion. I didn’t compromise the appearance of my text to achieve that end, so it was a beneficial trick. I hardly ever use this application, so I’m really thrilled I was given the opportunity to give it a try here at work.

Here are updated images of two columns:
