LAITS Student Technology Assistants collaborate with the College of Liberal Arts faculty and administration by re-imagining their instructional and promotional projects with a creative use of video, audio, web and graphic design. STAs learn technical skills on the job with LAITS development studio staff. They build presentations, produce audio/visual works, scan text documents & perform image correction. STAs are instrumental in helping COLA faculty realize their vision for instructional technology projects used to enhance the teaching and learning experience.

The client then narrowed down the choices and wanted to continue work with the third.

Finalizing the layout with two options for warmth/tone of the flyer. The blue also corresponded with the PRC’s main color scheme, so the client ultimately printed the blue.

An edited version of the layout with less information for a second PRC talk. This layout template will be used for future events.

Orientation and Training

Orientation and Training

test-01
Orientation Banner

I used Illustrator to create this banner. I was inspired by handwriting on the original template and just decided to write my own name in cursive for my banner. First, I worked with the watercolor brushes in Illustrator to achieve a messy, splotchy effect. I then added color accents to the originally blue strokes. I then decided to create a solid color background to fill in the white space. I made the jellyfish in Illustrator as a spur-of-the-moment addition and imported it into my banner file. I added the text last.
