I recently made some more changes to the accordion to make it more user-friendly and also nicer. According to the client’s request, I added a plus / minus symbol that toggles when show or hide, some animations to make the information blocks slide smoothly, and some stylings.
Here’s my result.
I think it’d be nice to start this short weekly post :p. This week I’ve been into Chopin’s Variations on Mozart’s “Là ci darem la mano” from Don Juan. I personally prefer the orchestra / piano version, so I’ve marked that time stamp here!
A client recently discussed with me the options for a collapsible / accordion FAQs section, since her site has a very long FAQs. She’s been getting away with incorporating anchors, but she’d still prefer an accordion. Tim suggests that something like the Department of Economics site, but it does seem pretty complicated and the client would like to implement it herself. So I’ve written up a simpler version of the accordion in pure HTML / CSS / JS, and it seems to work well.

I’ve recently been tasked with cross-checking the old COLA Help Guide (http://www.laits.utexas.edu/colaguides/) with the new one. I created a spreadsheet to keep track of my progress, and I think it’s looking good so far.
I’m asking Estella and Bridget to look over one particular guide (old) where it explains the roles of admins / editors, etc., which I think might be useful for our KB site, particularly on guiding STAs on how to set up a new Cascade site for the client and granting them roles. I’m not too sure about this specifically, so I’m waiting for their review on that!
