Another RUS 407 illustration assignment!

It’s been a while since I’ve done photo ID’s, so it was nice to take a break from illustrations and work on a few of them today.
As usual, I have worked on the RUS 407 illustrations, as well as some flyers for the LAITS events.

And then a huge chunk of the past 2 weeks was devoted to creating a LAITS events flyer with Mike and Suloni – it was challenging to fit all the different kinds of characters all the STA’s have created (Russian, Latin, Animations). But nevertheless, it is nice to see the final product that Suloni have graciouslly touched upon on my draft.

Helped Marla & Suloni with her big ppt presentation coming up! Mostly organizing things and adding animation features to the content in the slides.
Another RUS 407 illustration, this time U14_5:
As usual, I started out with my sketch to get the composition:
First draft:
Final draft – toned down the pebble-y sand from the first draft, put more volume into the trees and the mountains, made the water look more transparent and ~flowy~, and drew the appropriate clothing for each characters!
**I also worked on the photo ID re-organization assigned by Aidan, trained Esther for her new STA orientation, and worked on a powerpoint reformatting for PSY306.
Before the winter semester came to an end, I finished a few projects, of which included the U12_6 illustration for RUS407 and an LAH flyer for Stacey. U12_6 was super fun to work with, since I had to come up with an entirely new character illustration on Photoshop, along with his tools and a broken oven he was trying to fix. As usual, I first sketched the scene out and worked my way through.

I did a super quick illustration for U12_4 for RUS 407. Overall really quick and easy and fun one! Here’s the initial sketch:

For some reason, the window was faded, so I made an adjustment. And the wall was so bland that I had to add a few assets to make it feel more ~homey~. I also drew a radiator behind the sheer curtain that Dr. Rice asked for. The final version:
