Recently I’ve been working on a new interactive for the History class in which students learn the origin of foods. It’s been mostly trial and error and this interactive has forced Ruben and I to change a lot of the features of Canvasser, especially the particle system (hopefully for the better). Redoing the kincaid creatures interactive in canvasser, we had to add conditionals (true/false statements) to canvasser to get this one to work:

One of the challenges of redoing TBH was to redo the animations, especially the rain animations. The current way Canvasser worked meant that for each rain drop we would need a separate animation with a separate object, which meant ALOT of objects. Ruben and I (mostly Ruben) came up with the idea of using a particle system with raindrops as the individual particles. We think it looks more natural and is also a lot easier to implement. Here are the before and after videos:
