Recently I’ve been working on a new interactive for the History class in which students learn the origin of foods. It’s been mostly trial and error and this interactive has forced Ruben and I to change a lot of the features of Canvasser, especially the particle system (hopefully for the better). Kincaid Kids
Redoing the kincaid creatures interactive in canvasser, we had to add conditionals (true/false statements) to canvasser to get this one to work:

Particle System for TBH
One of the challenges of redoing TBH was to redo the animations, especially the rain animations. The current way Canvasser worked meant that for each rain drop we would need a separate animation with a separate object, which meant ALOT of objects. Ruben and I (mostly Ruben) came up with the idea of using a particle system with raindrops as the individual particles. We think it looks more natural and is also a lot easier to implement. Here are the before and after videos:

Recently I’ve been working on redoing some parts of TBH using Canvasser. It’s pretty challenging to replicate the animations exactly how they were in flash. This is what that looks like:
