Hello world! I haven’t updated my blog in a hot minute since I was the only STA working over the summer but I’m going to include above a quick recap of the projects I thought were interesting!

UTFC Greenscreen Edits
Project: UTFC Image Sourcing
Notes: For the past few weeks, our team has been assigned with locating the original image sources for the UTFC greenscreen modules and gathering fresh public domain images. All of the photos for Course 2 for UTFC have been sourced and replaced by Adrian, Luisa, and I, and approvals and modifications for the replacements have begun to come in. The next step is to review and respond to each revision feedback. Some comments emphasize finding a brand-new image, while others discuss cropping and Photoshop adjustments that may be applied to the selected image to make it better. I included a spreadsheet I created down below.
UTFC Logo Design
Project: Connexions Francophones Logo
Notes: For this project, I was assigned with developing keywords/symbols and sketches for the French Online Textbook logo. I’m redesigning my logo to be more in-tune with learning, people, and connections. The main goal of mine for this logo design is to create something timeless, advertiseable, and something like a trademark.
Style A & B Studio Graphics
Project: Intro Training Style A&B Course Graphics
Notes: STA director, Valerie Tran, asked me to brush up on this training again since it’s been a while since I’ve done course graphics. The main goal was to familiarize myself with the names of the assets and the style types! I took a silly approach and used a example class from the template and replaced the professor with a minion. This time around I did Studio Graphics Style B.
STA Blog Banner Edits
Project: STA Blog Banner Update
Notes: For this task, I was asked to place Isaiah’s portrait on the Blog Banner. STAs get the opportunity to create a character that best represents them so it’s interesting to go behind the scenes to and see everyone’s avatar up close! I got to edit the Adobe Illustrator file and mess around with the placement of everyone’s avatar. It was a cool learning experience being able to edit the main site and edit the homepage to our STA blog.

UTFC Studio Testing
Project: Backdrop Color Testing
Notes: Since UTFC plans on recording its lectures this summer, I had the opportunity to go inside the recording studio to test backdrops for the lecturer. I could see the backdrops in real time and edit them to the correct display such as altering contrast and saturation inside Photoshop. So far we’re almost done with the first course for recording. This time around I went in to look over some specific backdrops of the 3 new backdrops and then two of some I found for another module.
UTFC Backdrop Edits
Project: Backdrop Edits
Notes: This week, I went back into the studio backdrops and re-edited a few of the images.

UTFC Greenscreen Edits
Project: Reverse Greenscreen Image Sourcing
Notes: A handful of STAs were tasked with finding royalty-free images and uploading them into a PowerPoint. This assignment is similar to the green screen image search for vocabulary words except I’ve been using Google Images to reverse image search the pictures that have been used for previous assignments for proper attribution. In addition, I’ve been finding substitutional photos for the images that have no attribution or not from a royalty- free site.

UTFC Backdrop Edits
Project: Backdrop Edits
Notes: Aside from doing studio backdrop testing for UTFC, I also have to heavily edit some of the backdrops. It’s a fun process but some of the backdrops require more labor such as removing people or advertisements like in this example in Abidjan here:
