I finally finished U15_3! Yay!! After finishing the first colored version, I thought the overall image was too dull. I upped the saturation settings for the overall image and also changed the back wall to be a darker and more orange/yellow brown.
I worked on another object creation assignment; this time for the “cool uber car”. I mainly traced over the reference image and made the car black:
I also was assigned COLA IDs. This time, two of the images weren’t found. I emailed the senders but they never got back to me so I’ve only been able to complete one.
I’ve also been working on my Russian illustration. I’ve made a bit of progress through coloring, so I’m almost done. The colors are a bit muted compared to the other illustrations but hopefully it will just emphasize the dream bubble of the banya.
I also finished all of the scans for Dr. Miller and worked a bit on Canvas re-documentation when I had the time.

I also edited the previously done garbage bags to make them look more filled with actual trash. Tate made me an example and I completed the “held” garbage bag.

There were quite a bit to scan, so I’m still working on editing them.
I also finally got the sketch for U15_3 approved and am working on the linework now.
I’m also currently working on making the uber car for Tate and new COLA IDs.
I’ve started working on the U15_3 illustration. So far, I made two versions of the sketch. The first looked too much like Boris was talking and thinking about the Banya instead of just daydreaming about it. In the second draft, I changed Boris’s gesture to make it look more like he is teaching. I also added tiered seating to make it look more like an auditorium.
I’ve also started working on the taxi object creation assignment. I’m not yet finished, but I used a stock image of a van and traced it. This particular object is taking a bit longer than usual because it is more complicated.
I finished another character creation assignment. This time I had to create trash bags and edit the character so that they would be holding the bag.
I created another character for the Russia 412 Project. The assignment was to create the front 3/4 and side views of the Cafe Owner who closes up shop and leaves with some other characters at the end of the day. Tate gave me a character from Aqua Teen Hunger Force as a reference which was pretty funny. I made the character balding with light brown hair with a tank top, jeans, chest hair, and a gold chain. Here’s how it turned out in the end:
I also continued to work on Cascade re-documentation. I’ve managed to get through the majority of the “How to Use Cascade” tab. Here’s an example of one of the pages:
