Duplicates

DUPLICATES

Yesterday and today I have been working on fixing 4 different PSD files that were duplicates. Maddy had done 1 of them and it had 3 different popups within in. Mine was one interactive with 1 popup and 2 popups separated out into still images. I forgot to take before pictures (darn!) but here is what I came up with. I tried my best to edit within what Maddy and had put together and what I had. New elements are keys in the still images, recoloring of the bars, lightening up of the graph lines, reformatting text style, and redoing the popups to fit within the style guide. Currently the STAs are waiting on some confirmation for uniformed styling on the Hypothesis and Quizzes, but hopefully I get to help out more in fixing duplicates.

Side Hustle

SIDE HUSTLE

Valerie, Chloe, and Maddy talk about their pets in the office a lot (which is a good thing because the stories are cute), so I decided to show some of my not pets. On the weekends I usually dog sit for people through the Rover app (not sponsored). The first dog is Dunya who was only two months old and the softest puppy breath little baby! She was very sweet and playful. The other dog was Grizzly who is 9 years old but the size of Dunya. He was very attached to his owner and just wanted to sleep and go for short walks. I loved his calm energy but I wish he could’ve been more happy around me. I have another dog sitting to do this weekend for a poodle mix. Fingers crossed that that goes over well!

VLABS- MORE STUFF

I worked on a good number of canvassers but then found out they all needed psd editing. So back to square one with them. It is a lot of going back and forth right now when we miss style errors by accident, but at least it is more practice for me to get better. Here is a psd I got to work on the last hours of work today.

GRAV Uploads

    GRAV SITE UPLOADS

Today I have been working a lot on uploading things to the GRAV site and putting together canvassers/editing and fixing mistakes on them. Maddy showed me how to toggle things on the canvasser today also. Shout out to Maddy for being a good teacher! Working with canvasser can be kind of a pain because it tends to crash on me a lot and files need to be renamed if I want to re-upload them every time. I haven’t found a way around this yet. Anyways, I will probably find myself doing plenty more of these since I have a good amount of PSDs that Valerie will review soon.

Basic Training Gif

BASIC TRAINING WITH GIFS

I worked on two little GIFs this week. The strawberry was my first attempt, but I needed to recreate one that was black and transparent. I got inspiration for the dog GIF from this YouTuber who has lots of dogs that I watch all the time as of recently. It is suppose to be an Italian Greyhound but I can’t add too much detail in an 8-bit style. Nonetheless, I had really fun making these. Hopefully the other trainings are as enjoyable!

PSDs. Been Busy!

July 29, 2019 By Abriella Corker

P R O D U C T I V I T Y

Hello again! I have had productive days at work going through and creating a bunch of PSD files for the Grav site. I still need to put all of these into canvasser to make them interactive once Valerie is done double checking and exporting the layers. I had accidentally been merging the layers too much which created some difficulties in editing parts of the psd. However, after I realized this I opted for grouping thing instead of merging and that helps things run more smoothly. Rookie mistake but I’m getting better! Hope you enjoy seeing what I have been doing and like this new blog post format I tried out. (^: Gif is made by Fanny Luor and not my own.
