Nutrition

NUTRITION ITEMS

This looks kinda boring but I will explain what this image is! Thuy and I estimated time that we spent working on the nutrition design brief with Suloni and discussed what aspects of the process took the most time and least time. We estimate that each design would take around 4 hours each after out meeting. Hopefully moving forward, we will be able to provide a better estimate for the nutrition project and move forward in working with them on the project. Currently, we are waiting to hear back on the info graphs that they need so we can ask questions and calculate time that will be spent on this.

BANNER EDITS

project: Public Affairs Commencement Banners
Client /Prof: Department of Public Affairs
completion status: Started Feb 20, 2020
staff guidance: Valerie Tran & Suloni Roberston
STA team members: Abriella Corker
description/plans: Create a banner design for commencement for Public Affairs
To be completed: Feb 25, 2020

For this project I was given photos to use for the banner edits. My task was to photoshop the images for use of possibly a single image or make a collage edit for the banner. The edits on the left image below were my very strict interpretation of a generic collage grouped by overall color scheme. The right side images I did a diagonal cut and added come blocks of shape to make it feel a little more dynamic.

CHECK LIST DESIGNS

These were the final designs for the checklists that I made. The first one is a design I made before knowing what content would be placed on the image. I did both a serif and sans-serif font and Michelle ended up picking the sans-serif for the design. I met with Suloni to talk about more directions this could take and she made suggests which led to the last 4 images below. A flat bold graphic design with both a double column and single column layout. The colors are of the primary and secondary UT orange and navy blue. I got my icons from a non-copyright source and edited them to be placed within solid circles to balance out the darker colors in the image. The Liberal Arts knock-out image was added at the end which in turn led to a need to re adjust spacing throughout the entire text to accommodate for it. Overall I think the project had a good outcome with the blue single column as the final choice (which was my favorite as well).

CHECK LIST BACKGROUNDS

project: Public Affairs Commencement Checklist
Client /Prof: Department of Public Affairs
completion status: Started Feb 20, 2020
staff guidance: Valerie Tran & Suloni Roberston
STA team members: Abriella Corker
description/plans: Create a checklist design for senior commencement for Public Affairs
To be completed: Feb 25, 2020

I had been working on making the backgrounds to the senior year checklists for the Public Affairs. Since I do not have the text to place on the image I tried to keep an open very simple background that can hold a fair amount of text on it. The orange background with halftone is what we have decided on so far. Once the project is completed I will update the finished product. Below are my personal top three that I liked most.

MORE SCANNING

Dr. Doolittle came in yesterday with more documents for us to scan for him. I am assigned to this project alone right now. the scans take awhile to do because of the slow scanner we have but the quality of the images are coming out well. I don’t want to put his images I have scanned on here without permission so here is a picture of the stack I am to tackle these next upcoming shifts.

Scanning

February 4, 2020 By Abriella Corker

*.-:”**. Scanning Slides *.-:”**.

I have been working on scanning slides for a history professor. The images were pretty unconventional for something we usually scan here at the office but they seem like an interesting material to study from. The project didn’t take as long as we had estimated which is always a plus. Here are thumbnails of a few of the slides. There were 116 of them in total.
