I started drafting the roster poster for the STA Program Spring 2020. Mike wanted something related to ‘champion,’ so I thought of the Retro style. After looking at some inspirations (retro fonts, posters, etc.) I came up with a rough draft that looks something like this.
The client got back to us regarding the Nutrition Infographic. They like the version with the icons (yay!), and wanted to see two versions of the graph, so Abriella and I each made one, with her working on the one without line markings, and me working on the one with numeric markings like below.

I have class during the live section of the class so I can’t make it :(, but Gladys and Emily have kindly provided me with some pictures taken during the dress rehearsal. Emily told me that Professor Beevers really like the design, and everyone was very happy with the set design as well :3 yayyy. The video team also did an amazing job animating the art work, so a big THANK YOU to them!
I’ll see if I can skip a lecture one day to go see the class live haha. But here are the pictures from the dress rehearsal.

Project: COERLL – H5P HTML5 Video Remediation

Description / plans: add pop-ups and captions for Portuguese videos on WordPress
Abriella, Bridget and I worked on Jake’s H5P Video Remediation project. Videos are essentially migrated from the old website (https://coerll.utexas.edu/brazilpod/cob/) to WordPress.
The task is pretty straight forward since it involves a lot of repeated works. We just need to upload the videos, the caption files (.vtt), and add the pop-up links according to the time stamps Nathalie and Jake has marked. We started over the break and Nathalie reviewed them once, so today I just made some edits requested by her.

Today I worked with Abriella on creating the first draft in Illustrator for the Nutrition Handbook. Here are the two versions that we had so far from the graph that has been approved by the client.
The information in the graphs are arbitrary, since this will be the first drafts that Valerie presents to the client for feedback.
Right now I will be working on the style guide for the infographics so that the guide can be used for future graphs :).
