Honestly, didn’t think I needed to do a course graphic training when I’d already completed an entire course graphic set for a real course, but it turned out to be good practice adjusting colors and seeing what works best for legibility with the provided assets.

 

Here’s my indesign spread, waiting for feedback on this before checking the to-do off but I’m pretty proud of it! I used the same fonts that I picked for my senior yearbook because ~nostalgia~ (fun anecdote: I had to present a case to my district board to justify spending $300 on the entire font set and now they’re all free on creative cloud lmaoooo)

 

I think I’m ready to start on CLIO training…wish me luck. Website design softwares do not seem to like me very much.

Progress on my inDesign spread so far! I missed doing this so much; maybe being a yearbook nerd all throughout high school made some points 🙂

Next week I’ll work on some photo IDs and finishing up some more course graphic trainings. Today I also had the chance to talk to Mounika about her progress working on WordPress and she said she’d show me some of the basic tools next week and I’m really looking forward to that, as well as spending some time on the CLIO training. Big things coming!!!

Today I worked on the course graphic training a bit more. I attempted to place these in the full menu template but my PSD crashed three times when I started style B so I’m going to work on that tomorrow. I also began the inDesign training which has been really fun! Spread design is my favorite thing and where I began with graphic design so I’m looking forward to getting back into that.

 

I have finished my caricature (I think). I darkened the eyebrows and brushed up the edges to make things look a bit smoother. Pretty neat!

Today I completed the cascade training and began working on my caricature for the STA blog. For my caricature, I’m using illustrator to trace a photo that I took in Morrocco. I’m having a bit of trouble figuring out the nose because there are some shadows that make it look lopsided, so I’m going to rest on this and brush it up next week. I made my hair longer because this picture is kinda old, and changed the color of my shirt because I love yellow 😀
