After spending a majority of the summer putting together the Farmer’s Dilemma storyboard, the animation is finally coming together! The rough animation showing some of the actions and the background music is below.

Since I technically didn’t create any characters for ‘Yours Truly’, I did design some costumes for the characters to wear, as well as a color scheme to use.

The Hebrew Language site (http://dev.laits.utexas.edu/hebrew/) is getting a short film? Animated gifs? Something animated involving characters and some scenarios. For now, we want to focus on the look of the characters. The most exciting aspect is that the female protaganist is a goth, and not your Hot Topic mall goth, an actual knows more than one Bauhaus song, fairly 80s goth (my kind of people). The male character is Yoni, a Dallasite conservative. Since I’m not really experienced with character design, I am pretty familiar with costuming and clothing design, so most of my drawings focus on what the character will be wearing.
Pretty sure we all run into images wherein everything is just too blurry to work with. Sharpening doesn’t always help of course, so here’s another solution that might help turn your blurry (and sometimes low-res) image into something a little sharper.
Step 1) Duplicate the layer/image.
Step 2) Set the new duplicate layer from ‘Normal’ to ‘Overlay’
Not pretty yet, however there’s just a little more to do.
Step 3) Go to Filter>Other>High Pass
Step 4) Play around a bit with the radius until you get somethign satisfactory, normally I rarely have to go over 1.0, and hardly ever go over 2.0.
Step 5) Apply your change and you’re done!
