Description/plans: Create illustrated characters to be used in a presentation and video for new CC302 – Introduction to Ancient Rome course taught by Jen Ebbeler.
Edit 7/30:
Final Storyboard!!
I made edits to Leroy’s characters and gave them a bit more expressions. That way, I think it would make illustrating all the scenes a bit more expressive and interactive.
Edit 7/12:
Full cast of characters so far!
Storyboard progress. I’ve completed 1-4.

Description/plans: Assist with re-branding the MES website (http://www.utexas.edu/cola/depts/mes/).
I’ve reworked the original logo to be symmetrical, as well as included a font suggestion. I believe the font I suggested fits better with the logo because it mimics the thickness as well as curves, rather than the more squared off, skinny, tall font that was requested.

Edit:
For learning purposes, I’m going to design a different website to use for the STA training assignment. Since I’ve never really coded from scratch.. and want to learn based off the tutorial Ryan gave, I made my own template that is similar and will attempt to work from the ground up for this design.
I’ve been taking a digital art media course over this summer and actually did this for my first assignment. I spent about a week just hashing out different logos (over 15 different ones) until I exhausted myself. I found the one that resonated to me most, which is shown here.
Here are also some layout designs I came up with so far. Still deciding which one I’d like best.
I made these before learning about the 960 grid so I’ll update it to fit the grid.
1.
2.
3. 1 page scrolling with anchors to each category.
