Today I worked on Cascade Site training that involved editing the source code. I really liked it! At first, I was a little confused but as I kept working it became easier. I decided to make the page theme about butterflies. Here are my banner and icon design.

 

This next image had to do with changing the color of the rounded button to fit the theme.

Next, I had to do different layouts of where information links can be stored. I thought to include some butterfly origami people can do to go with the theme.

Today I completed the Cascade Site Training as well as the Powerpoint template! I liked the videos people put in the video section of Suloni’s page, it’s funny.

Today I worked a bit more on the Cascade site. I was able to fix the video error I had problems with last week and completed some more tasks. I should be finished with that training tomorrow. 

The rest of my shift was spent working on the Powerpoint template. Definitely struggled a bit, just because I’m more of a visual learner so I misunderstood some things. For example, I thought “add a dark red bar at the top for content slide large enough to fit more title text” meant adding another Title box instead of just moving it (as seen in the 3rd image). At least now I know! 

Today was a short shift and unfortunately, I didn’t have time to continue Cascade Training today because of a project deadline being moved up. I hope to resume progress on that next week. I mostly worked on the Powerpoint Template that Abriella is also working on. I made some rough drafts of the backgrounds that could be used for the template keeping in mind to stick to the color scheme and style that Abriella already had. These I did in Photoshop, but I plan on making the final drafts once I get feedback, on Illustrator.

Worked on the Cascade training today. It was fun putting in all the images on cats and dogs. Having trouble adding in the Youtube video and will troubleshoot that tomorrow.

Mostly worked on Digital Backdrops today. Implemented the suggestions given to me by Valerie and Sheryl. Created 4 new backdrops of just the Towerstreet photo and centered the Courtyard photos. Also did a short walkthrough of Cascade with Bridget and plan to work on mostly that training tomorrow.
