I have been working on putting together a screen ad for the liberal arts department as seen in one of my last recent posts. Below is the feedback I got after sending my drafts over on basecamp. The images under the feedback are the edits I made which involved messing around with the values and saturation of the background. Personally I like the lighter color image with the background more visible. It alludes to class registration more clearly.

The original map for this used semi-opacity and pattern to layer up on the map. Maddy suggested solid design and using some of the pastel colors from our style guide. The map is very simple looking compared to others I had put together. Below are images of the layers isolated and then all at once.
I worked on removing a published folder on the ethics home page today. There was some difficulty in this by a miss-click which needed to be resolved but all is well more or less right now. Publishing of the site edits is still pending at the moment. Along with this, I created a very small two-step instructional page within our departments Cascade How-To page. Here it is:

The registration period is coming upon us quickly. I was given the task to make the ad for the Liberal Arts department about this. These are my first two drafts based upon what I was given in information and style guide. It is still just in its first form. Currently, I am waiting to hear peer review and feedback on how to refine this more to better fit the look for the department. The last design went a little crazy but it is enjoyable for me to look at.
