We have been working on creating newer collage-style backgrounds for remote studio setups. We want something that has more depth and doesn’t distract too much from the instructors. Here are the edits I made based on the reference images I got to draw inspiration from.
So I have mostly been working on V-lab edits which I can’t show, emplyee mandatory training videos, editing COLA instructions which is in the last post, and wokring on training new STAs for chatbot and web support. Then inbetween all that giving lots of feedback and helping out my coworkers on some tasks. I’m just including some evidence of correspondence since I don’t have anything visually interesting to show.
I spent the last two weeks going over the details of editing the instructions, what staff can and can’t do, need to make a fac and grad editing view, etc, etc. This is my first completed draft of the staff instructions. Suloni is going to look over them and provide me with feedback. For now,it is drafted out in my test site in Cascade.
Suloni, Valerie, Maddy, and I have been in communication on ways to improve the photo ID editing process and submission. As COVID continues on, we have many staff, faculty, and grad students taking their own photos at home instead of our studios which complicates the editing process as each photo may contain numerous errors not align with our guidelines. One way to help with this to have an email template requesting new photos and another to make the notification of uploads clearer.
I can’t include any text that gives away any information but I am reformatting the look of some of the still PNGs. Basically making it black and white to match the look of the GRAV site.
After taking stock of what was on KB and archiving old content I am now going back in and looking at what trainings could be made new again and which ones are done for good.
