UTinContext WordPress Web Development

Hello, long time no see!

It’s been a while since I update my blog (since before last Summer-2021, before I leave LAITS for my internship). I’ve been working here still during Fall 2021 and this Spring 2022, but because of my limited hours (I currently work 5 hours per week as an STA), I was exempted from weekly meetings and blog updates. I have a little bit of downtime today, so I decided to update my blog.

I’ve been working on the mockup and Web Development for UTinContext with Estella for the past couple of months. This is my first time using WordPress, so it was a little bit of a learning curve, but it’s not too bad. I’m having fun with the site so far.

The client liked the final iteration with the red, so that’s what we went with. I worked with Estella in developing the site on WordPress after. It was my first time working with WP, but it’s not too bad and Estella was super helpful (sorry for bothering you every 20m Estella!). I had some hiccups of not being to to add a JS file (to allow for more dynamic styling, especially with responsiveness), but Estella was able to help me add a JS file which makes it much easier to style the page.
