SummerHacks Project: GoalBuddies
Throughout the summer, I’ve been working on a hackathon project with my friends Jennifer, Jeff, Matt, and Bryan. The idea for our app is a mobile platform where individuals can keep track of goals but at the same time make groups with their friends and track common goals among each other. We wanted the app to encourage a supportive environment among friends, especially as we know how COVID-19 has really impacted our motivations to work!
Here’re some screenshots of our app, compiled as the cover for our submission.
Although we didn’t win the hackathon (the wining teams have very cool projects ideas!) I’m very grateful to have had this opportunity to work together with my friends as well as learning a completely new technology (React Native) from scratch to build this app. It has been a process (12 weeks O.O) but I’m really happy that just simply committing to finishing 1 or 2 small things per day makes a different!
Here’s the YouTube demo video of our app. I’ve marked the time stamp where we started walking through the user flow.
