STA Blog

Farewell

May 25, 2022 By Hoa Truong

Working as an STA for the past two months has been one of the greatest experiences that I have had at UT so far. It has been my pleasure to be selected for this role and have the opportunity not only to work with talented staff but also to learn from them. My journey as an STA began with having some conversations with Keshav about our major and career, then learning new things such as making a blog banner, and a handbook webpage,… I am very excited about learning how to use Photoshop for the training.

Even though there are some days that I feel I can do better, I am still glad that I realize that I need to learn more to improve myself to become better. The project that I have been enjoying working on so far is making the website for professor Monfils. I have the opportunity to discuss and work with Estella and Valerie. They have helped me a lot thanks to their feedback on my work. Having a weekly meeting on Friday to share with Suloni and Marianne is wonderful.

This summer I will be working as a software engineer intern in Sunnyvale, California and I am very thankful for all of the experience that I have learned from LAITS team. I am very thankful for this opportunity and I wish the LAITS team all the best.
