Today marks my last day working this season as an STA. Originally, I was debating between taking this job and taking an AET class. To this day I don’t regret my choice! I enjoyed the staff and the projects that I worked on. It’s nice to get paid something you love doing! I got more familiar with Photoshop, and was able to meet some really cool faculty. I would recommend this job if you’re looking to do some graphic design work for the school.

Assigned to make different versions of what’s in the window:

Updated and modified the living room set:

Made mock ups for the new Russian course offered in the Fall.

 

First I deleted the original background from the window

Then I layered different backgrounds with specific filters to have a cohesive style

Decompiling flash programs, and drawing up mock ups for potential interface for tablet use.

Searched the elements on the web page to find a swf file.

Decompiled the swf file in JPEX to see if there were any missing images

Changed the original interface of the index page to compensate for no hover

Organizing the the COLA staff, faculty, and graduate student ID pictures from the server onto UT BOX

Chose a folder to organize

Looked up occupation through the UT COLA database

correctly identified person with occupation

Renamed file by name, UTEID, Occupation, and upload date

Upload onto UT Box

Was given an assignment to insert a background for a new Russian Course, and edit the fonts, animations, sizing, and straightness.
