Today is my last day and I worked on and finished the Infographic training. This is how it turned out!

 

This blog post is going to mostly serve as a point of reflection. I’ve definitely appreciated my time at LAITS as an STA. I recognize there’s a lot for me to improve on so I really appreciate this opportunity given to me. I really enjoyed doing all of the trainings and the knowledge I was able to gain about design, CMS, and learning a little bit about HTML and CSS. I especially enjoyed what I learned in the FIGMA training and actually plan on making a website with my friend who codes. Looking forward to what this experience has opened for me and the new things in the future I hope to accomplish!

This week I mainly worked on the Infographics training and some Photo IDs. Here are progress pictures of my work! I’m liking how it’s turning out.

This week I mainly worked on After Effects training. I was able to get my animation finished and here are the results! I had to look up tutorials online for how to make the paper texture “move” and I’d say it turned out pretty good.

I also worked on giving feedback to my PSD Character Design Training. Had to make an update to it and add this image to the bottom of both so I did that.

The last thing I did (today) was get started on the Infographic training. I posted to Basecamp already about what fonts and color schemes I was thinking of using. And after making this post, going to continue working on gathering the information and sketching out a layout.

This week I worked on finishing the UI/UX with Figma Training as well as the Pixel Art training. Here are images of the final design of the website. I really liked working on this project. It made me think more about User Interaction and it really helped with the Think Aloud test I did with Thuy to notice some changes that I needed to make. One of them is adding a Shop button on the navigation bar as well as a search bar so that clients could look up specific bouquets they would want. You definitely have to think about things in a different way, and not just what makes something “aesthetic”.

Here are the images for the Pixel Art training. I decided to make my image off of what I am assuming is a Volkswagen character that I saw at a dealership. This was a lot of fun! I definitely will be making more Pixel Art in the future.

This week I worked on the UI/UX with Figma Training. I chose Spicewood Floral which involved making a website for their business. Here’s what it looked like at first.

Here’s what it looks like after applying all the colors. Definitely didn’t need to use them all. Just another step in the learning process!

And here’s what it looks like once I removed the green and adjusted the hues of the colors. There are two versions, one using dark pink and another using a darker version of the background color. I’ve really liked this training so far!

This week I finally finished my Canvasser! No bugs and everything. I added it to my CLIO site, and now it’s ready for people to play.

 

Next, I continued to work on my Studio Course Graphics Training. Made some changes to some of the wording on the titles, and made Canvas Graphics.

And one of the last things I did was make a banner for my PSD Character Design Training I made and posted it to the KB!
