My first official assignment is to work on designing the badges for the Maker’s Space in the Engineering Department at UT. Here’s a rundown on the overall project: there will be badges that act as different certifications, such as safety, demonstration, and training. For now, I’m designing the safety badge that will act as a template for the rest of the badges.
I began by sketching drafts in my journal while keeping the required elements in my mind: showing it was a safety badge from the UT Engineering college that displays a specific machine, while being consistent with the UT brand.

Along side these projects I have been scanning and editing slides for professors. I’ve learned a bit of Photoshop through ID Processing (cropping and editing faculty photos for the COLA website).
