Hey everyone. This week I migrated more COLA pages, mostly the language ones which were a lot easier to migrate than the tables. I also updated some of my previous pages with the tables using the HTML source code which made formatting look a lot nicer.

I started working on the Blanton Website Migration and started migrating pages there as well. Blanton, as I’ve been told, is a massive project so I’m sure that there will be lots of work to do between COLA and Blanton. I also got to attend the STA Fall Welcome Back Party, which was a lot of fun as I got to tour the building and meet the other departments as well as make origami and buttons. Here’s a Blanton page that I worked on.

Hey everyone. Last week has been much of the same as before. I’ve just been migrating pages from the old CMS to the new CMS. A couple interesting things though, is that there are new features in Pages that have been added, such as the ability to have two columns, images with no text, and probably the biggest feature of all, tables. Because they have now added tables to Pages, there are a lot more pages that we can migrate, so this past week I’ve just been working on those. Some of those pages are quite extensive with a lot of content, so it takes some time to check for broken links and add/format everything. All in all, though, not too difficult. Here is an example of one of the large pages that I have migrated.

I haven’t gotten to work too much on my other trainings but I’m pretty close to finishing the HTML training. There’s currently a little bug that I have to fix because I added a flip page feature with JavaScript, but after seeing Slack I might have to hold off on it for a little bit because I’m moving to the Blanton project and splitting time between that and COLA, so I’m sure I’ll have my hands full for a while.

Hello everyone. This past week has been much of the same as before. I’ve mostly just been migrating pages and remigrating or updating previous pages to make it look more aesthetic or fixing bugs such as broken links and alt text for images. I also attended the weekly COLA meeting where lots of things were discussed, such as how to implement certain features for certain pages such as tables as well as bugs and problems that we have run into. Here are a few of the pages that I have migrated.

Here is an example of a page that I am holding off on as there are no solutions to the application upload problem.

I have also made a lot of progress on my HTML training and have been working with the JSFiddle a lot. This is currently what it looks like. I am trying to add as many features as I can just to keep experimenting with the code and seeing how far I can take it.

This week I’m going to continue to work on my trainings and doing more COLA tasks as they come out.

Hello, everyone. This past week I’ve just been migrating actual content over from the old CMS to the new CMS. I’ve done my best to maintain a lot of the same structure,  but sometimes it doesn’t translate as well or the original structure wasn’t the best to begin with. I’ve dropped down a few of the pages that I’ve migrated below.

Some of them are identical to the original page while the structures of others are the different.

I have also started the HTML and CSS basic training and it’s pretty interesting. I’ve always wanted get more experience with HTML/CSS/Javascript so the training is a great way to do that and build a foundation. Here is my progress so far:

Overall, I’m excited to continue doing this training as well as more content migration tasks.
