I’m baaack. After a fantastic experience studying abroad, I’m back at the STA program and I’m already working on some great projects.

Here’s a review:

What Jane Saw

• I am working with Nik and Ryan in getting the sprites completed for the painting rollover feature for all the rooms.
• Additionally, I will be in touch with Professor Barchas in the coming week about publicizing the project through advanced visualization technology.

Abriendo Brecha

• I am working with Hallie Boas of the Native American and Indigenous Studies Program in creating a flyer for the Abriendo Brecha Conference Keynote Speaker, Winona LaDuke.

I. What Jane Saw

– Met with Katie to get her up to speed so that she can help out with the renderings of the room views. The Middle Room is all drawn up and rendering is underway.

– After looking over the images I’ve already created, I’ve noticed some discrepancies with the coloring in the ceiling and I’m going to go back and edit this.

III. Our Turn Campaign

For the Business School’s Alumni Donation Campaign, Suloni and I proposed some concepts and they are all potentially going to be used over the duration for the campaign. Suloni’s “Rockettes” concept is currently being developed and I am illustrating some characters for it.

My first character:

Over winterbreak I worked primarily on getting renderings out for What Jane Saw, but I also did a few mockups for a logo design for the Department of French and Italian.

From feedback, we’re going to move away from the obvious solution of the eiffel tower and roman arches and move towards something that is similar in spirit to the first logo proposal, but a little more abstract. I get the impression that they want an object that can abstractly represent them.

• Deborah Femat has either ordered or told us to order prints for the third and fourth floor Gebaur signage.

II. Swedish Endowment Logos

• Client: Dean’s Office, Hannah McKenna
• Description: Create a logo for a scholarship that funds individual research in Sweden for students of all disciplines.
• Status: Completed, pending review.
  Aimed to create logo that was indicative travel to Sweden.
