I started working on a rough draft of a landing page for students on the LAITS website. The purpose of the page is to exist on the registrar and redirect students to a “one stop”. of sorts. The page will contain info on spring, summer, and fall classes, testing stream connectivity, and general info on LAITS.

This postcard is an important part of the marketing push for summer courses. I’ve started updating the colors and adding the $500 sticker from previous years.

Description: PDF file for LAITS website with info on minors.

This project consists of mainly making minor copy edits to the existing PDF, fixing minor typesetting issues, and updating some gradients and color choices.

This week, I finalized the card designs to five interchangeable templates. I also began laying them out on Illustrator. Aside from the poster, I’ve also been working on summer marketing plans.

This week was slow, with not too many projects. I primarily worked on finding new ideas for summer marketing and drafting templates for the STA poster. The theme of this semester’s poster draws from vintage sports trading cards. I looked at the images Maddy had given me for inspiration as well as did my own research on the design of retro ephemera. After spending some time doing this, I made a few sketches on paper and brought a few into Illustrator.

Module 8.5B – Holidays and Celebrations

I’ve been working through a new UTFC module. It’s been fairly straightforward, except that it’s been hard finding photos from the country specified. It’s a very small island in the Indian Sea, so there aren’t many usable photos.
